WHY STUDY IN THE UK ?
  • ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

The quality and standard of UK higher education are guaranteed through the work of various official bodies. The Private colleges are assessed for quality check through the British Accreditation Council (BAC) which provides a comprehensive quality assurance scheme for independent further and higher education in the UK since 1984. For international students, choosing a BAC-accredited college for studies will ensure that the institution is considered to be bona fide by immigration officials. Indeed from 2009, new regulations of UK Border Agency (UKBA) have come into effect so that visas are granted only to students at BAC accredited institutions.

  • COST EFECTIVE

British education is now open to the all international students in an affordable price as the education giants are now offering their popular degree through their affiliated partners. With a cost effective price, higher education to the UK has now become a sensible decision to the students.

  • FASTER CAREER

The British education system has a fast track education route through which students can complete their undergraduate and post graduate course faster than other developed countries. Furthermore, not this faster route helps the students to have longer work experience in a younger age, but also provides international students an opportunity to obtain a minimum two year work permit to find job at their own paces. A standard UK undergraduate degree is about 2 to 3 years after which they can complete their masters just within a year!

Details about various qualifications offered by UK colleges and universities

First Degree courses in Arts & Sciences (Bachelors Degree) are normally of three or four years' duration and are largely taught courses, sometimes including the preparation of a short written thesis.

Higher National Diploma (HND) is awarded by vocational and technical educational councils. They offer a 2 year course in vocational subject like scientific and technical business subjects which is the first step of the first degree course.

Vocational courses offer an opportunity to enter the university system slowly. Business and Education Technology Council (BTEC), General Vocational Qualification (GNVQ), General Scottish Vocational Qualifications (GSVQ) offer recognised courses in a range of disciplines. Most students opt to take 1/2 years of, for example, BTEC courses before being transferred to a degree programme and are usually accepted as an alternative to A levels.

Postgraduate study may take the form of an independent piece of research under supervision or a taught course, and leads to variety of degree and awards. The taught courses normally last for one or sometimes two years. Completion of a doctorate normally takes a minimum of three years. Many post-experience courses are also available, either leading to a qualification or providing a refresher course for graduates wishing to update or extend their knowledge.
